Dr. Steve Chen is a 2003 graduate from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He was born in Taiwan and he is a third generation veterinarian. Dr. Chen served as the Chief of Staff at Banfield Pet Hospital of Katy for almost 10 years before joining Brixton. He has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and ultrasound. He has four Shih Tzu, one Yorkshire Terrier and a German Shepherd Dog, but he loves cats, too. Dr. Chen enjoys watching sporting events such as basketball, tennis and college football. He loves to play tennis and basketball at his leisure time as well. Dr. Chen is married and is expecting his first child in September.
Dr. Beckham is a native Houstonian. He earned his B.S. degree in Animal Science from Prairie View A&M University and was commissioned through ROTC in the United States Army upon his graduation in 1986. He served in the U.S. Army Engineer Corps, both Active and Reserves. Dr. Beckham later earned his Veterinary Degree from Tuskegee University in 1993. Soon after, he completed an internship in Small Animal Surgery and Medicine at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Beckham returned to the Army and served in the Army Veterinary Corps. Prior to joining Sugar Land Veterinary Services in 2015, he worked for two large Veterinary Medical Groups as Medical Director for the Houston Market. Dr. Beckham is married and has a daughter. His family also includes his two energetic Jack Russell Terriers.
